Epimedium Ext 98%, also known as Horny Goat Weed, is a plant extract used in traditional Chinese medicine as a tonic, aphrodisiac, and antirheumatic agent. It contains icariin, a flavonoid that has estrogen-like effects and can help maintain healthy bones by enhancing bone building and growth and preventing bone breakdown and loss.

A clinical trial showed that an herbal regimen containing epimedium-derived flavonoids prevented bone loss in 74 postmenopausal women. Another study found that Herba Epimedii water extract elevates estrogen level and improves lipid metabolism in postmenopausal women. Epimedium Ext 98% may also have anti-inflammatory activity. A systematic review and meta-analysis showed that Epimedium may be effective for osteoporosis based on Western and Eastern medicine.

The recommended dosage of Epimedium Ext 98% is 600-1000mg of the extract per tablet or capsule taken once daily. Potential side effects include dizziness, dry mouth, vomiting, and nosebleeds. However, there are no known serious side effects of Epimedium Ext 98% when taken in recommended doses.
