Vit. E 50% powder
Vitamin E 50% powder is a dietary supplement that contains 50% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin E, which is an antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), vitamin E is important for the proper functioning of the immune system, as well as for the formation of red blood cells and the use of vitamin K. Vitamin E 50% powder is available in both natural and synthetic forms, and can be found in various foods such as nuts, seeds, and leafy green vegetables.
Some of the benefits of taking Vitamin E 50% powder include reducing the risk of heart disease, protecting against cancer, and improving cognitive function. However, it is important to note that excessive vitamin E intake can have harmful effects, such as an increased risk of prostate cancer and a higher chance of death in people with poor health.
A study conducted on vitamin E supplementation found that taking 400 units/day for 4 weeks was associated with improvements in itching and extent of lesions in patients with mild to moderate atopic dermatitis compared with placebo. However, no significant benefit was found with low-dose vitamin E. Another study found that a combination of vitamin D and vitamin E therapy resulted in improvements in pruritus and erythema compared with placeb.
The recommended daily amount of vitamin E for adults is 15 milligrams a day, and doses of up to 1,000 mg/day (1,500 IU/day of the natural form or 1,100 IU/day of the synthetic form) in adults appear to be safe. When taken at appropriate doses, oral use of vitamin E is generally considered safe, but some side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, intestinal cramps, fatigue, weakness, headache, blurred vision, rash, gonadal dysfunction, and increased concentration of creatine in the urine (creatinuria). Taking higher doses of vitamin E might increase the risk of side effects.
