Magnesium D-Aspartate

Magnesium D-Aspartate is a supplement that combines magnesium and aspartic acid. Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays a crucial role in many bodily functions, including muscle and nerve function, blood sugar control, and blood pressure regulation. Aspartic acid is an amino acid that is involved in the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Combining these two compounds may enhance their individual benefits.

Studies have shown that magnesium supplementation can improve dyslipidemia by raising HDL-C and lowering triglycerides. It has also been shown to be a useful therapy for several medical conditions, including depression. Aspartic acid has been found to play an important role in the production of testosterone, which can lead to increased muscle mass and strength.

There are no specific case studies regarding the benefits of Magnesium D-Aspartate, but studies have been conducted on the individual components. One study found that magnesium supplementation can improve symptoms of depression. Another study found that aspartic acid supplementation can increase testosterone levels in men.

The recommended dosage for Magnesium D-Aspartate is not well established. However, the standard dose for D-aspartic acid is between 2,000 – 3,000mg. Potential side effects of Magnesium D-Aspartate may include flushing, diaphoresis, hypotension, depressed deep tendon reflexes, muscle paralysis, weakness, hypothermia, circulatory collapse, and cardiac, CNS, or respiratory depression. However, human studies have not reported evidence of toxicity or serious side effects.
