Green Tea 98%
Green Tea 98% is a dietary supplement that contains a high concentration of polyphenols and other phytonutrients found in green tea. It is derived from the Camellia sinensis plant and is added to dietary supplements such as fat burners. The supplement is rich in polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which has been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Here are some benefits of Green Tea 98%:
- Weight loss: Green tea extract has been shown to increase metabolism and promote fat burning.
- Heart health: Drinking green tea is linked to a reduced risk of clogged arteries and death from heart disease.
- Cancer prevention: Green tea extract has been shown to have anticancer activity in animal models and laboratory experiments.
- Lower cholesterol: Taking green tea by mouth seems to reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL or “bad”) cholesterol by a small amount.
According to Drugs.com, the recommended dosage of Green Tea 98% is 1 gram per day, taken in two divided doses. However, significant effects in humans are noted only at high doses, such as 400-500mg EGCG equivalent per day. It is important to note that drinking more than 8 cups of green tea daily or consuming high doses of green tea extract may cause side effects due to the caffeine content, such as headache and irregular heartbeat. Adverse effects in the treatment group that led to dropout were GI problems (n=3) and skin rash (n=1).
