Couch Grass Root Powder

Couch Grass is an invasive weed used for medicinal purposes. The leaves and roots are used to make medicine, and Couch Grass Root Powder is a diuretic that has a soothing, anti-inflammatory healing effect on the lining of the bladder.

It is rich in mucilage, volatile oils, and other components that may reduce swelling (inflammation). It has been traditionally used to treat constipation, cough, high blood pressure, kidney stones, bladder swelling (inflammation), fever, and water retention. However, there is no good scientific evidence to support these uses. Despite the lack of clinical data, there are some animal studies that suggest potential benefits in diabetes and in the treatment of urinary tract conditions (urolithiasis and infection).

There are no known adverse effects associated with the use of Couch Grass, but the potential for allergy exists. The appropriate dose of Couch Grass Root Powder depends on several factors such as the user’s age, health, and several other conditions, and there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for Couch Grass. A study shows that Couch Grass efficacy can be increased, and negative side-effects minimized by an appropriate tillage strategy.
