Pantethine 50% Powder

Pantethine 50% Powder is the stable form of pantetheine, the active form of pantothenic acid, which is the fundamental component of coenzyme A (CoA). CoA is involved in the transport of fatty acids to and from cells as well as to the mitochondria.

Several clinical trials have shown that Pantethine reduces lipid levels when taken in large amounts. In a review of 28 small clinical trials, pantethine reduced triglyceride levels and increased HDL cholesterol levels. Two randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled studies in 152 adults with low to moderate cardiovascular disease risk found that 600 mg/day pantethine for 8 weeks followed by 900 mg/day for 8 weeks plus a therapeutic lifestyle change diet resulted in small but significant reductions in total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and non-HDL cholesterol compared with placebo after 16 weeks.

The standard dose for pantethine is 900 mg per day. Pantethine is well tolerated, with a low occurrence of side effects at dosages from 600 to 1000 mg daily for up to 48 weeks. It might cause nausea, diarrhea, and stomach discomfort in some people. Pantethine might slow blood clotting. Taking pantethine along with medications that also slow blood clotting might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.
